Survarium developer Vostok Games has announced another wave of bans, removing one hundred accounts for violating the game’s rules on using cheats. All of the accounts can be found, by name, on the Steam announcement page. Vostok regularly posts the names of accounts banned for cheating, and recommends that players use the report tool at the end of the match to report any suspicious players.
We remind everyone that use of prohibited software is a serious violation and it is punished with a permanent ban. 101 accounts were permanently banned from March the 14th to March the 21st because their owners have used prohibited software to gain an advantage in the game.
If you follow the link below, you can also find a comprehensive list of accounts that have been previously banned in Survarium.

Survarium is not S.T.A.L.K.E.R, let’s get that straight. It is, however, being developed by Vostok Games, a team made up of ex-S.T.A.L.K.E.R creators. Survarium is an upcoming free to play MMO shooter set in a world that has been taken over by flora. In an effort to combat the growing forest, a powerful herbicide is deployed and, you guessed it, kills the vast majority of the world’s population. As in S.T.A.L.K.E.R the world has become filled with anomalies, and players will find themselves taking on missions for one of several factions, shooting it out in this session-based multiplayer game.
So the game is closer to Crimecraft than it is Planetside, but the developers at Vostok want to make this as unique as possible. Team combat is not what you’d expect: rival teams work against one another to scavenge parts and build a device to protect themselves from a massive storm, and both teams can fail at this objective. Cooperative missions delve into the world’s artifacts. Finally, of the three modes revealed recently, free play drops players in a massive map with 30 other players to move and do as they please.
You can view the entirety of the latest developer diary below. Survarium does not yet have a release date.
Back in 2007, Ukrainian developer GSC Game World stunned us all with S.T.A.L.K.E.R Shadows of Chernobyl, an alternate reality where the Chernobyl power plant explodes once again causing all kinds of oddities to emerge in the zone. Over the next few years, GSC would release two followup titles: Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat. The games were applauded for their open worlds, extensive AI system, and disturbing atmosphere. Unfortunately, as of yesterday, GSC has officially closed its doors, resulting in the cancellation of S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2.
In keeping with the spirit of the franchise, the team from GSC has gone on to form Vostok Games, and has announced their upcoming free to play MMO, Survarium.
“The topic of mankind who survive, but in totally new conditions, very dangerous ones where death is around, where there are mutants, factions, where there are some mysterious goals, where there is something like the Zone, explored by the well-known stalkers.”
Most important is that this is not a S.T.A.L.K.E.R MMO. That is a completely different game, and will probably never be released outside of Russia.
