There is no team working on the game.
EG7 is talking about H1Z1. It’s amazing when you consider the company has pretty much ignored the existence of Z1 Battle Royale for the last couple of years. In a community update, EG7 CEO Robin Flodin revealed that the company is looking at H1Z1 and how the company wants to do more with the game. Flodin acknowledges the failed partnership with NantG and Jace Hall, but warns that players shouldn’t expect to see an update soon. Least shocking, Flodin also admits there is nobody working on Z1 Battle Royale.
The answer might not be what players are looking for, but it’s at least good to know the new owners are acknowledging the property and at least thinking about doing something. Flodin says that EG7 believes in the property, but is unable to make any definitive statements at this time. The video also acknowledges Just Survive, the zombie survival game that the battle royale mode spun off of. Could it come back? Who knows.
