Digital Homicide’s James Romine has filed a subpoena against Valve in Phoenix to discover the identities of what appears to be 100 anonymous users who had made statements about the company in the past. The documents were filed and the subpoena granted this week. The case has been assigned to Magistrate Judge Eileen Willett. Romine is representing himself and is demanding $18,000,000 with the nature of the suit being personal injury.

More information as it appears.

  1. Spread the word. Here is who Digital Homicide is after in this lawsuit:

Steam Users DemonSword, Nathos, Michoo Jones, JDude330#HaeisBACK, Toon
Vlux, brandino, Gana, Jon144, HGI, Karl Pilkington, Drackmore, and JANE/JOHN DOES 12 through 100

    1. Who cares who they’re after? They’re a deadbeat failed “developer”.

They’re going to fail miserably in court and nobody’s going to get hurt. They’re too stupid to understand the limitations of the law and they overestimate their rights.

      1. Plus, since he’s doing very miserably in the lawsuit against Sterling, it may happen to the same thing for this one depending whether this goes through or not. Mostly, from what I’ve been hearing all over, he may become a vexatious litigant.

    2. What?? Hahaahha I’m on the list yay!! Butt hurt James can come at me all he wants. What’s he gonna do take away my $30K in student loan debt or the apartment I rent? Hahha I ain’t got shit bitch but the wet nuts hanging between my knees for yall to suck.

      1. Lawyer up and counter-sue for false suit and let it fly! ‘Course those poor bastards probably have even less than you.

    3. Where’s this list? The worst I’ve done is ask them to justify them pulling up that video of Jim doing a Mad Scientist skit during that interview, but it would be SO fucking funny if that alone got me on their hit-list.

      1. It is in the complaint. I should note that where they list the actual parties involved in the case, they list 12, those 11 named Steam users and the Digital Homicides TrashWare group itself. So theoretically speaking, there could be as many as 1,200+ defendants in this one lawsuit.

  2. lmao. Yeah, I’m sure Valve will just comply with it..

Screw Digital Homicide. Yeah, they can go sue me.

  3. Connor, This is DemonSwordGames.
I am actually the person on the top of their ‘to sue’ list.

While I have friends who are members in poop gaming and was briefly a member myself, I quite literally did none of the things they are accusing me of.

In fact I am somewhat unique (I think) because I am a developer.
For some reason, Digihom thinks I compete with them, but my only game isnt even truly on the market yet…

I actually have evidence of them harassing ME and threatening ME lol
I would like to share my testimony and evidence.

    1. May I recommend one thing

DO NOT SAY ANYTHING AT ALL

Seriously you might think this is ‘nonsense’ but do not expose yourself in any way unless absolutely necessary. DO NOT give them more ammo to go after you with. Wait until Steam answers the supeona and see what they do.

        1. Everyone is right. You don’t fuck around with the one power in the land that has the right to transfer your bank account around and effectively ruin your life if you say or do the wrong thing and don’t have the money to send your own lawyers off to war.

    2. Please find good legal representation and countersue their asses off. Don’t say anything in public until you’ve consulted with an attorney.

    3. While I’m no lawyer, I think in my limited opinion that a countersuit would be in order. I also recommend looking up the term “Vexatious Litigant”. As I understand it, a few more of these and they may well be barred from using the court system soon.

  4. If they have to use a crowdfunding platform to fund their court case against Jim Sterling, I doubt they’ll have the money to fight Valve’s army of lawyers.
