Servers sunset April 29, 2021.
Defiance and its reboot Defiance 2050 are scheduled to sunset April 29, 2021. Launched in 2013 and 2018 respectively, Defiance is the open world sci-fi game tied in with the long since ended Defiance TV show on Syfy network. Defiance 2050 launched in 2018 as a reboot for newer consoles and less focus on microtransactions.
While Defiance had a rather dedicated community, Defiance 2050 never quite got off the ground. Servers for both titles remain online until April 29, 2021. Defiance store items have been discounted 95% for the time being and the server is running skill, reputation, and experience boosts for the duration. In addition server events will cycle on a bi-weekly basis and there will apparently be item giveaways.
Players can check out the announcement below to find gift codes for other Gamigo games, and more gifts will be coming in future weeks. All bit purchases from the last 60 days will be reimbursed in the form of currency for another of Gamigo’s games.
