Will revisit them at some point.
Lord of the Rings Online announced earlier today that controversial changes to in-game currencies will be put on hold following user backlash. The focus of the backlash revolves around embers of enchantment, which are used to obtain endgame gear. Among the proposed list of changes, Standing Stone wanted to change the system so that only gear from adventurer’s lootboxes would disenchant into embers.
Needless to say, players were angry over the perception that Standing Stone was once again funneling them into the cash shop for endgame currency. Evidently more ways of accumulating the currencies were planned to be added, but without providing any examples.
With the feedback being as negative as it was, Standing Stone announced that the changes are on hold.
We’ve been discussing your feedback regarding recent proposed changes to Embers, Figments, and Motes and we’ve decided to put those plans on hold for now. We’ll incorporate your feedback if we do decide to revisit the subject in the future. Thanks! #LOTRO
