$3.6 billion to be exact.
The acquisition wars continue this week as Sony announced that they bought Bungie for $3.6 billion. The company has already come out and confirmed that Destiny 2 will remain a multi-platform game, and that while Bungie will be owned by Sony that it will remain an independent studio with creative control over their games.
More than anything, SIE understands that our people and our community are both the priority, and the heart of our success, and are willing to stand alongside us as we continue to use our platform to drive action towards a more welcoming and equitable world. Our goal is to build a place where the world’s most creative and talented people can come and do their best work, no matter who they are, where they are from, or how they identify.?
January was a huge month for big acquisitions, with Take Two purchasing Zynga, Microsoft buying Activision Blizzard, and now Sony buying Bungie.
