TERA Shutting Down June 30

Following ten years of definitely being a thing.

The Exiled Realm of Arborea is getting exiled this year. After ten years of service, the MMO will close its doors on June 30 for the final time. Announced by Gameforge, this news may not be too surprising for fans and ex-fans of the game given its precarious status over the last few years as well as the recent launch of Elyon and that game having its own problems.

After much consideration, the team in South Korea have come to the conclusion that they are no longer able to offer you the exciting and satisfying content you deserve. As the last remaining publisher of TERA, it is with a heavy heart that we must respect Bluehole’s decision, and will also have to shut down the game.

As of yet there hasn’t been a specific announcement for the Xbox or PlayStation version of TERA, however that presumably is coming at some point in the near future. Meanwhile we can reminisce that TERA is so old that it once had a demo on Gaikai.
