Shuffles it off to another developer.
I want to start this article off with an apology. A few weeks ago I talked about how Free Reign Entertainment, the most incompetent developer to ever plague the industry with its presence, had abandoned development of their latest swindle New Frontier within four months from launch. When I wrote the article I snarkily questioned how long Free Reign would wait until after launch before abandoning their next con Outbreak: New Dawn.
I want to apologize for implying that Free Reign Entertainment has the talent, the resources, or the integrity to see a game to launch. Well we have our answer, and that answer is that Outbreak will not be launched under Free Reign Entertainment. The news came just a few moments ago on Discord revealing that Free Reign Entertainment is abandoning its responsibilities as a developer (yet again) and shuffling the game off mid-beta to yet another third party company in the Philippines, Electronics Extreme.
The good news is that customers will keep their game accounts. The better news is that there are virtually no customers so few people are being affected regardless.
We here at MMO Fallout look forward to Free Reign announcing their next low effort relaunch of The WarZ and how early into development that game will be abandoned.
