Path of Exile’s Next Content Update Hits December 2nd

breachscreenshot8

Grinding Gear Games has announced the next major content update for Path of Exile, dubbed Breach, will land on digital shelves in just under two weeks. The update challenges players to “enter the breach” and slay the monsters inside to keep the breaches open. Open a portal to the Breachlord’s domain and take down brand new bosses and reap their rewards. Breachlords not only drop new items but trinkets that can be used to upgrade said goodies.

Breach not only includes new monsters to fight, it also improves the game’s engine and marks the launch of the 64-bit client. GGG promises a faster, smoother experience with technical improvements like a new fog and cloth system, as well as graphical improvements to earlier areas of the game.

Supporters who wish to show their love by opening their wallets can get their hands on two new packs with exclusive cosmetics and titles.

December RuneScape Updates Detailed

JagexLauncher 2014-11-10 08-52-45-77

December is upon us, and Jagex has marked the occasion by releasing a list of updates planned for the next few weeks.

First on the list is the Tirannwn Task Set, RuneScape’s answer to achievements, comprising of 54 tasks set in and around the elf lands. The task set rewards players with a farming patch, upgrades for crystal weapons, and various other goodies including an ammo slot item called the Tirannwn Quiver. Following that update, the Dominion Tower is set to receive an update. The boss-mode mini-game will be updated with new bosses, a rumble mode, and new rewards.

Also returning this month is the RuneScape Premiere Club. Only on sale for a limited time, the Premiere Club is a one-year subscription that includes a variety of rewards, from cosmetics to pets, access to VIP worlds, and extra bonuses. Also returning is the festive aura, an item which grants double experience daily for 30 minutes. Over the course of December, there will also be weekend bonuses that vary from week to week.

The Christmas event takes place over four weeks, with players engaging in a different event each week.

RuneScape Reveals Festive Aura: 50% Bonus Exp Throughout December

Christmas is here in RuneScape, and that means another odd month of bonus experience. Jagex has been testing various forms of bonus experience over the past year or so, from lump sums to objects that double your experience (to an extent) but still require working on the skill. In August and September, Jagex offered a promissory note that offered over a million experience to players who remained members for the entirety of both months. The company has also dabbled in double experience weekends, perhaps the closest to industry standard.

Starting in December, players will receive an aura that will grant 50% bonus experience throughout the month. The restrictions are pretty complicated: The bonus experience goes into effect for the first 30 minutes you are logged in each day, or for the first 50k bonus experience you receive, whichever comes first. Additionally, there are all kinds of events happening in December that offer double loot.

Check out the announcement below for more details.

Triple Station Cash, December 17th Only

Sony cash days have achieved almost holiday status for some, like the return of the McRib or when your bank fires that teller who asks you for identification every time you just want to deposit a check. While Sony has performed double cash weekends in the past, this is one of the few times that triple cash has been offered, least of all allowing players to use a form of payment outside of the Station Cash cards (which are not available everywhere). For today only, until midnight pacific standard time, players can either purchase cash using a credit card or redeem Station cash cards, and receive triple the amount.

Station cash is based on $1 = 100 points. You can read more at Sony’s website. Sony is currently running a “12 Days of Christmas” promotion, with new deals in various games every day.

What’s Happening, December?

I have no idea what this has to do with December...

Welcome one and welcome all. Although I realize that for half of the world, December 1st has come and gone, I speak for all when I say: Welcome to December! Festive seasonal holiday deals continue this month in an effort to bring you into that festive cheer, just cheerful enough to reach for your wallet (or memory if you have your card number memorized like I do).
