Raptr: Star Trek Online Bundle Coming 9/4

Raptr is one of my favorite apps to have running in the background, next to xfire. Essentially it is a simple program which tracks how much time you spend in games on your PC, Xbox and PS3, tracks your achievements, and ranks you in each game based on time played and achievements earned. It also has a host of other features, including chat and suggested/featured games to check out. But what I love most about Raptr are the coupon codes that the game hands out on a pretty regular basis.

Currently in beta, the Raptr rewards is pretty basic. The list is mostly populated with item bundles for Blacklight: Retribution and Lost Saga, but every once in a while the program has pulled in some great rewards. We’ve seen giveaways for Mists of Pandaria beta keys, 50% off TERA coupons, and free copies of Rift. The next bundle, set to go live September 4th, involves Star Trek Online. By achieving “newbie” rank or above in Star Trek Online, players will be able to claim the Bridge Officer Bundle. By achieving experienced or above, players will be able to redeem an exclusive cosmetic pet.

The Bridge Officer Bundle contains:

  • Consumable item that grants 2,500 EXP
  • Pack of 5000 Raw Dilithium
  • Random Rare ‘Purple’ tiered weapon (space or ground)
  • Pack of random ‘self’ dual consumables
  • Pack of random ‘team’ dual consumables

Raptr costs absolutely nothing and neither to the rewards. The only catch is that each reward is limited in quantity, so you’ll have to act fast once the giveaway starts September 4th.

Glitch Beta Key Giveaway

[UPDATE] I have more invites, so comments have been reopened. Again, remember you will need a legitimate, active email address and to answer the email I send you to confirm.

It’s been a long time since Tiny Speck opened Glitch up to the public: Ten months by my count. But a few days ago, Tiny Speck opened the door to newbies by offering beta invites to current players. As promised in my previous article, I will be offering those invites up to the first three who comment.

The requirements are simple, but I will repeat them again since several of you had your posts looked over last time:

  • You must provide a valid email address. I will be sending you an email to confirm before I send the invite.
  • The first three to comment will be sent an email confirming that the address they gave is valid.
  • Once again, you must respond to the email.

Win A Physical Copy Of Alganon and Line of Defense Comics

Boy do I have a prize for all of you. Well, one of you. Last year Derek Smart partnered with DC Entertainment to create two comic books. The first, based on Alganon, was only distributed at Comic Con. The second, based in the upcoming MMO Line of Defense, was distributed only at E3 convention this month. The former was released in a digital form, the latter will not be released digitally to the best of my knowledge.

But you have an opportunity to get your hands on both. In that strange paper format, no less.

The rules are pretty simple. Rather than the old boring “make a comment and I’ll pick someone at random” giveaway that MMO Fallout normally does, I’m going to give you all a psychological examination. All you have to do is look at the photo below, and tell me what you see at contact[at]mmofallout.com. The best answer will win both comics.

Now due to the nature of the prize, I must limit the contest to North America only, and if you are picked you will need to provide a mailing address. Otherwise, go nuts! The contest will run for two weeks, until July 5th.

Bloodline Champions Beta Key Giveaway

Giving away keys since some time ago.

Bloodline Champions is an upcoming game being published by Funcom that takes arena based PvP and sticks in several game modes including arena (fight to the death), capture the artifact (capture the flag), and conquest (conquest). The game is viewed from a top-down angled perspective, as you can see above, and controls with the WASD keys.

I have two beta keys to give away, because much like the rest of this website I am extremely cheap and under-performing. All you have to do is post a comment on this page, fill in the email spot with your real email address (I will be able to see it, but no one else will) and write whatever you want in the comment box. At the end of next week (the 29th) I will choose two winners by way of random number generator and send them the invitations.

Get crackin, and don’t fret if your comment isn’t approved immediately, it just means you don’t have any other approved comments and I do check every couple hours.

The Contest is now over. The winners have been selected by process of random number generator, and the invitations have been sent out. Better luck next time to those who didn’t get a key.
