Unless you expect to be paid to play games, you can’t get much better than free. For the next couple of days, you can get your hands on the Wasteland 2 Director’s Cut Digital Classic Edition, uh, Redux Remastered Ultimate Collector’s Replication. Edition. For free.
Wasteland 2’s director’s cut features a rebuilt game engine in Unity 5, perks & quirks to customize your characters, precision strikes, over eight thousand lines of new voice-overs, and more. Oh yea, and the classic edition includes a code for Wasteland 1 in case you haven’t played that game. Wasteland 1 isn’t a digital remake extreme director’s cut like the sequel, but it is still a fun game and a free addition to your free game.
And if you really want to spend some dosh, Good Old Games is hosting its winter sale.

First person shooter Shadow Warrior 2 is free on Good Old Games for a limited time, and if you don’t own the title (or own it on Good Old Games), it’s in your best interest to pick it up now. Developed by Flying Wild Hog and released in 2016, Shadow Warrior 2 still sells for $39.99, making this a hell of a deal.
As part of GOG’s tenth anniversary promotion, members of the community were asked to pick a game that would be offered for free and Shadow Warrior ultimately won out over Firewatch and Superhot. It holds a 4.4/5 star rating on Good Old Games.
The deal only lasts until roughly 10:15am EST on Saturday, October 6.

SWAT 4 is one of the greatest tactical first person shooters surrounding swat team action, as well as being one of the only tactical first person shooters where you play on a SWAT team, but that’s not important. What is important is that fans of the game have been unable to legitimately get their hands on the title for years, ever since Direct2Drive initially shut down, the game hasn’t been available digitally and the cost of buying said game on disk has skyrocketed.
But all that has changed, as you can now get your hands on the Gold Edition for $10, or $12.49 if you buy it with SWAT 3. Take on the role as the head of a SWAT team as you negotiate hostage crisis, deal with armed/unarmed bad guys with as few shots fired as possible, and more than anything prevent civilian casualties.
