Few people care about mobile ports on Steam.
It’s a pretty darn good deal.

Max Schaefer has announced via Youtube today that Torchlight Frontiers will now be called Torchlight 3. Is that all? Nope.
Torchlight 3 will be ditching the free to play model and will no longer be an MMO. The good news is that the game will be available offline. Even better for you Steam enthusiasts, the game will be shifting its publishing platform from Arc to Steam with current testers to receive a key for further testing.
“Along with this name change comes a major shift in our design approach to Torchlight III. Torchlight III will be released as a premium title. For one box-price, you will own the game and be able to play the way that you want, online or off. Over the past year, we have gathered massive amounts of feedback from our Alpha testers. After reviewing this feedback, discussing with our internal teams, and receiving guidance from our publisher, we determined that this was the best course for the game. This shift helps bring Torchlight back to its roots and makes it the true sequel to Torchlight I & II that it was always meant to be.”
And among the larger updates, horizontal progression is being removed completely; all Frontier-specific levels, gear stats, and scaling has been removed as well. The real money cash shop is gone and players can choose online or offline characters at the creation stage.

Neverwinter players should be happy to hear that the next module coming to the MMORPG will address a longstanding complaint: The appearance system.
The current transmutation system in Neverwinter is, to put it lightly, not optimal. Under the current system you need to destroy a lot of items in order to change the appearance of a single piece of equipment, and when you finally replace that piece you have to go through that process all over again. Under the new system everything is handled by slot instead of by item, so instead of transmuting one item to move its appearance to another, you will instead convert said item into the appearance inventory and be able to select it as an override.
Now, you define how an equipment slot looks, and your equipment takes on that look. If you have an appearance override defined for a slot, anything you put into that slot will take on that appearance automatically without you have to do anything. No matter what you’re actually wearing on your head, it can look like a bright pink fedora! (Fedoras not available in all regions. Some restrictions apply.)
Even better, this system applies to dyes. Instead of having to go out and buy dyes for every single item you want to color, one dye unlocks the color for your library and can be used as many times as you’d like.

The Foundry has always been an interesting part of Neverwinter and Star Trek Online, the feature allowed players in both games to create custom missions and add their own spin on to the stories. Over the years, the Foundry has been subject to balancing by Perfect World to prevent players from abusing the system to hand out massive rewards with minimal effort.
Sadly the system is now dead. As announced back in March, the Foundry has shut down as of this week. According to Perfect World, the company was unable to keep the feature properly maintained. It appears that employees with knowledge of the Foundry’s programming are no longer with the company.

Fraud and gold-selling is a problem in any MMO, and Neverwinter players are probably more than familiar with the scourge of chat spam that accompanies said gold farming. Perfect World Entertainment this week has announced to Star Trek Online and Neverwinter players that big changes are coming to the way the game detects fraud. Currently these systems identify potential problem cases and permanently bind the item to the player account, such as a lockbox key or a package with a collection of items.
In an upcoming update, Perfect World will be relaxing these bindings so that they will no longer be permanent. Items put under bind will be accompanied with a timer that shows when they can be traded or sold on the Zen Market. Any item without a timer will be bound permanently.
Perfect World also noted that the system will be tuned over time depending on the circumstances.
