Level In TERA, Unlock Another Character Slot

TERA’s latest class is here, the male brawler, and they’re giving people a reason to log back in and give him a chance. The male brawler carries the same fighting capabilities as his female counterpart. To mark the occasion, En Masse Entertainment is hosting a series of events. Log in between March 13 and 20 to obtain a free character slot, level the male brawler up to 15 by April 10 and receive a box of goodies to get you started, and take part in weekend events over the next month.

The male brawler has the same amazing moves, uses the same massive powerfists, delivers the same punch-and-counter combat rhythm, and embodies the same fighting fury as the female version. Human females have had the spotlight long enough! It’s time to let human males do some of the fighting.

More information on the male brawler can be found at the link below.

TERA Joins the Fight Against Breast Cancer

En Masse Entertainment has unveiled the Pink Power Bundle, a limited promotion in TERA to help spread breast cancer awareness. The bundle is only available until November 1, and contains a small handful of goods to show off your charitable ways.

TERA’s Pink Power Bundle sells for $14.95, with 100% net proceeds going toward the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

  • Pink Pinions —A pair of rare, translucent-pink wings that emit hearts to show off your caring spirit.
  • Pink Wreath —A crown of pink flowers.
  • Pink Brow Glasses—High-end eyewear for the caring soul.

“According to Breast Cancer.Org, there are more than 3.1 million survivors with breast cancer history, and 40,000 women are expected to die in 2017 from breast cancer,” said Matt Denomme, Senior Product Manager at En Masse Entertainment. “We’ve got a chance to help bring those numbers down by spreading awareness through our TERA community, as well as contributing proceeds from our Pink Power Bundle to one of the many charities in need. We hope our small part will help these statistics change for the better and fight this awful disease.”

TERA Sweetens The Deal: More Stuff For Subscribers

En Masse Entertainment wants to sweeten the deal with TERA’s subscriber rewards, and will be offering 15 daily EMP to elite subscribers. That’s 450 EMP per month assuming you log in every day and the month happens to have thirty days in it (your month mileage may vary). If you don’t play TERA, our referencing of EMP is probably meaningless to you. EMP is TERA’s cash shop currency, and it roughly translates to 100 per dollar.

So a month’s subscription at $15 gets you $4.50 in cash shop currency, which is pretty standard for subscriptions that offer some sort of stipend. You just have to log in every day to get it. In addition, TERA subscribers enjoy:

  • Double the daily dungeon entries
  • Double XP boosts
  • Free daily rewards (including scrolls and potions)
  • Elite-only sales in the TERA Store
  • Free 30-day Village Atlas
  • Free 30-day Travel Journal
  • No fees for using the in-game trade broker
  • …and more!

TERA Sees Huge Number Spikes Thanks To Steam

As surprising as it may sound, releasing on Steam can do wonders for a game’s community, as European publisher Gameforge and developer Bluehole Studios found out following the successful rollout of TERA on the digital distribution service. Since its launch, TERA has remained in the top 30 list of free to play games. According to Steam Charts, TERA enjoys on average more than three thousand concurrent players on Steam alone.

Olaf Bernhard, CMO of Gameforge, says: “Our strategy of bringing not only new releases to Steam but also re-releasing our most successful games, proves very successful: With every game we manage to bring new fans in and reactive former players.”

Support for TERA is still going with a new class set to release in April, the Valkyrie, which players will be able to reserve their names for shortly.

Nab TERA Elite, Lock In Your Subscription Price

tera_foa_08

If you were gearing up to subscribe to TERA, now may just be the best time to do so. En Masse Entertainment has announced that subscription prices for the action MMO will be coming down to a mere $10.99 for the next twelve days. To sweeten the deal, anyone who signs on while the sale is active will be locked in at that price so long as they remain an active subscriber, including anyone who is currently already paying full price.

To better incentivize players to dole out, En Masse is offering two 30-day items to boost your character’s power.

All Elite players will receive one of each of these items the first time they log into TERA between Thursday, March 10 and Tuesday, March 22. The items will be delivered via item claim.

Existing subscribers just need to log into the account management page and lock in their new rate. The sale runs until the 22nd.

TERA Getting Region Locked On Steam Tomorrow

tera_foa_08

En Masse Entertainment has announced that, due to pressure from foreign publishers, a region restriction will be enforced on Steam downloads of TERA. The affected regions include “certain European countries and Russia.” While players from these regions will be able to use the game, the Steam store page and download will no longer be accessible, and players who delete the game may find themselves unable to reinstall it via Steam.

The good news is that while Steam access is being restricted, you’ll still be able to download the game from TERA’s website and play that way. The accounts themselves are not being restricted.

Our decision to enforce this region restriction was influenced by external pressure from the publishers of TERA in these regions. However, TERA (as published by En Masse Entertainment) can still be downloaded directly from our download page by players in Europe, South America, and Russia for play on our servers.

TERA Sees Population Boost After Steam Launch

TERA_Header

TERA is celebrating a boom in traffic, both from the recent launch on Steam and release of the new gunner class. While the team at En Masse Entertainment has increased server capacity over the past month, heavy population has resulted in queues during peak times. To move the population around, a new PvE server will launch on June 9th.

Highwatch opens Tuesday, June 9 following server maintenance and will be available to new characters and transfers from all servers. Server transfers will be free for a limited time, but transfers to Tempest Reach, Ascension Valley, and Celestial Hills are temporarily suspended.

Free server transfers will open on June 9th and run until maintenance on the 16th. Steam Charts puts TERA at a peak of more than 25 thousand concurrent players on Steam alone.
