Ends on December 4.
Fortnite Chapter 2 is coming to an end, and sooner than you might expect. With the season set to end on December 4, it might surprise readers to learn that this season will be the last of the chapter (compared to Chapter 1 which had ten seasons).
Chapter 7 ended the alien-themed season with players infiltrating the giant mothership and destroying it from the inside. The destruction however unleashed powerful cubes on the Fortnite island that have spent the better part of Season 8 moving around and corrupting the landscape. At the end of October the cubes formed together in the center of the map, unleashing the Cube Queen. No, you’re not the only one marveling at how ridiculous this all sounds.
Every season has made changes to the Fortnite island, some big and some small. The end of Chapter 1 however brought about essentially the destruction and recreation of reality as we know it, at least in terms of the Fortnite island. There’s no doubt that Epic is ending Chapter 2 at this point for something bigger than a few new points of interest or the next battle pass.
It’s also possible that Chapter 3 of Fortnite may be where Epic really starts pulling in their metaverse idea. Whatever the case, fans are definitely going to want to be in the servers when the event happens on December 4 at 4p.m. EST.
