Royal Crown is set to go down as another failed contender in the tidal wave of battle royale games to release over the last few years. Launched almost one year ago, Royal Crown released into early access to a peak of 5,442 players. Since then however the game has plummeted in popularity, with the last six months only bringing in a peak concurrent count of 27.
The folks at Meerkat announced the closure, noting that servers will go offline on April 28, 2022. On February 24 the game store will no longer be available for download and all in-store purchases will be disabled. And remember there are options out there for any achievements you may be missing.
Our team wished to provide positive experience for our players for a longer period of time, but after difficult discussions, we have decided we can no longer provide consistent updates and maintain Royal Crown. We have decided to terminate service for Royal Crown on April 28th(Thu), 2022.
