Granado Espada Is Also Dead

Shutting down this month.

Last month when T3Fun announced the impending closure of Aika, I noted that their only other functioning title Granado Espada appeared to be not far behind. According to posts on the forums, the game servers haven’t been functioning for months and T3Fun seemed to be keeping the website online purely for contractual purposes. Well we have an answer to that.

T3Fun announced this week that Granado Espada will shut down on September 16. Effectively the game shut down back in April when the servers no longer became accessible, but September 16 will mark the formal sunset date.

It is with great sadness that we will be concluding service for Granado Espada NA as of 2021 September 16th 22:00 (EST). We would like to express our deep gratitude to all our users for supporting Granado Espada from the very beginning. It’s never easy to announce service closure of a game we all love and it’s harder knowing how much time and effort our users have put in to making Granado Espada into a enjoyable game. Our journey with you has indeed been memorable. We hope to see you in our other games soon!

For those not in the loop, the “great sadness” part of the announcement is an inside joke. T3Fun hasn’t shown any indication of effort or care being put into supporting titles for years, which is a big reason why virtually nobody publishes with them anymore. Outside of nonexistent support, players also had to deal with T3Fun’s criminal employees selling duped items on Aika and Granado Espada for their own personal profit at the expense of already failing titles.

For T3Fun, it’s hard to find something to say other than good riddance when one of their services shut down. I’ve spoken at great length before about mediocre Asian import MMO publishers, and T3Fun is truly at the bottom of the barrel. Seeing T3Fun/Hanbitsoft’s name attached to a game is a great indication that you should turn and walk away.
