Final Fantasy XIV 4.5 Concludes Stormblood Storyline

The final chapter of the Stormblood storyline hits Final Fantasy XIV today (January 8) with the launch of patch 4.5, A Requiem For Heroes. In the first part, players will have access to a wealth of new content leading into the next expansion, Shadowbringers, including the third and final chapter in the fan-favorite Return to Ivalice Alliance Raid series, new main scenario quests, challenging trials, and more.

Following today’s content drop is the blue mage job which hits live servers on January 15. As a limited job, the blue mage provides solo gameplay learning its abilities through fighting monsters and is available to all players who have achieved level 50 Disciple of War or Magic class/job and who have completed the main scenario for A Realm Reborn.

Fans can look forward to more information on the next FFXIV expansion at this year’s European Fan Festival on February 2, 2019.

Heroes & Generals Update 4.5 Adds New Guns

Heroes & Generals deploys update 4.5 this week, introducing multiple new guns and skins. The US faction receives the US M1941 machine gun while the Germans have the P38 Parabellum pistol. The machine gun unlocks at level 12 infantry and the pistol unlocks at level 12 handgun.

The German faction now has the P38 Parabellum, which is widely regarded as the first modern handgun and pistols today are still being built on its design principles. This outstanding handgun is known from Inglorious Basterds as Oberst Hans Landa’s personal pistol. The top tier pistol has a high damage output, which makes it even better than its iconic little brother, the P08.

Aion Is Still Adding Classes

aion2

Holy cow, NCSoft, have you considered taking a vacation? Most MMOs are content with adding a new class in once every few years, assuming they do so at all, but Aion clearly isn’t most MMOs. Aion 4.0 brought with it two new classes, the gunslinger and songweaver, the first new classes introduced in four years. The upcoming 4.5 launch for Aion will introduce yet another class, the aethertech. Not debuting on the Korean test servers until July 29th, the Aethertech uses his fists to form a number of different weapons, and is a giant hulking mech.

What’s next for NCSoft and Aion? I’m thinking a Sharknado class.
