Watch: Black Desert Online Naval Update


Kakao Games has shown a glimpse of the exciting upcoming naval content that will be added to Black Desert Online in Q4 of this year. This free expansion will raise the bar of what is possible in current day MMORPGs.

The update will expand the already massive world of Black Desert and introduce new gameplay features. Players will venture out on the sea for exploration, establish trade routes, seek treasure, hunt monsters and experience full-scale naval warfare.

Trion Worlds At Gamescom: Infodump

Trion Worlds has announced a major info dump at Gamescom, with details regarding all of their first party titles. More information on individual updates will be coming in the next few weeks, but for today the company has pushed a small blurb on each title:

  • Rift: Patch 3.4 introduces a new calling, the Primalist, along with six new souls and a Planewilds expedition zone, new raid, new dungeon and more.
  • ArcheAge: An update called Heroes Awaken will introduce “significant updates and add fresh content to the game.” The update will bring in a new hero system as well as upgrades to guild progression, housing, and a new Diamond Shore zone.
  • Trove: New end-game content and a new class as the game prepares to launch on Mac.
  • Defiance: Higher tier weapons, a new enemy, and more.

Trion Worlds Promises Defiance Announcement At Gamescom

Last week we reported that Trion Worlds had opened a thread on the Defiance official forums, requesting that people submit questions for an upcoming Q&A session. The results of the Q&A are available for viewing on the official website, nine questions and nine answers. When questioned on a roadmap for future content updates, Trion answered that more details will be released at Gamescom and PAX.

    Right now, we are working on some non-expedition content for upcoming updates. We can’t say much, but we do plan on releasing more info at Gamescom and PAX Prime. You get a hint about what is happening with Dark Matter in the latest Arkbreak Expedition.
