Another tournament to run over the next four weeks.
It’s been a long time since the last Deadman Mode tournament, well over a year actually. Old School RuneScape’s punishing hardcore mode is back for another season as Deadman: Reborn. Players have three weeks to survive, level up, and make their way to the finale. Players have three lives to get them to the finale and once they lose those, it’s all over but the crying.
Unlike previous Deadman seasons, players now have three lives. Experience is greatly accelerated, as are drop rates and item shop restocks, and mobs have access to drop tables not available in the regular game. Dying no longer means losing experience, at least for your first two lives. Upon your third death, you lose just about everything. Combat experience is reset, all items are wiped, 10% of skilling exp is gone. Non-PvP deaths do not contribute to this number.
The rules are extensive and ridiculous, so I’ll drop a link to them here. The finale takes place on September 17, the top 2,048 players taking part in 1v1 matches based on total level/high score ranking. The numbers will whittle down until one player is left standing.
