Roblox Outage Totally Not Chipotle’s Fault

Servers remain offline after a day but it’s not Chipotle’s fault.

Roblox has been offline for well over a full 24 hours as of this posting, and it doesn’t seem like the service is coming up anytime soon. According to various reports, server instability struck Roblox in-game and on its website well into the evening on October 28 with services essentially coming to a full stop in the hours following. In the morning on October 29, Roblox posted the following message to Twitter:

As of right now the website just shows a photo with the message “we’re making things more awesome. Be back soon.” The official Roblox account meanwhile wanted to make it clear that this has nothing to do with the Halloween Chipotle event.

Players might not be convinced about Roblox’s claim of no relation between the server outage and promotions. As part of celebrating the twenty first anniversary of the “Boorito” Chipotle announced it would open a restaurant in Roblox where they’d be giving away $1 million in free burritos. The promotion started at 6:30 p.m. ET on October 28, just before Roblox’s servers began crashing out.

According to MMO Fallout sources, liquor supplies at households with children who really like Roblox has hit dangerously low levels in the last two days. More details as they surface.
