ArtCraft Entertainment Sold Crowfall

Operations to change hands immediately and without interruption.

What is Friday evening without some news piece kicking in the door and flipping over the table? PvP-focused Thronewar MMO Crowfall has been sold off by Artcraft Entertainment. In a press release just distributed, Monumental LLC announced the acquisition of Crowfall from Artcraft Entertainment. According to the release, transitions of operation will commence immediately and without interruption to service.

“As an early backer and avid player through its development, I could not be more pleased to welcome Crowfall to the Monumental family,” said Monty Kerr, Chief Executive Officer of Monumental. “Gordon brings an extraordinary team of talented and creative developers, as well as decades of experience building and operating MMOs. As a combined team, we are well positioned to fully realize Crowfall’s lofty ambitions.”

Crowfall launched back in July and rumors have been swirling in recent weeks about the game potentially shutting down or experiencing some major transition. The team suffered a round of layoffs in September, and it’s been clear since launch that numbers aren’t quite up to what is needed for a healthy PvP game.

Monumental LLC is an independent game studio headquartered in Austin, Texas.
