If there’s one thing I learned about Black Desert it’s that it takes place in the southern hemisphere. Because it’s eternal winter. In July. In the desert! The Black Desert.

Players on Xbox and that other console can check out the new snowy region in the Mountain of Eternal Winter. What’s the theme? It’s a secret, nobody really knows. You will have to ascend to the peak of the Mountain to vanquish Illezra.

You get a new region, new questline, new player hub, new boss, and new endgame locations. Pearl Abyss pitches it as a place for players who haven’t explored much to come and learn about the game’s lore. For everyone else it’ll be a new spot to get new stuff.
