Pearl Abyss Resumes Black Desert Online Publishing

Starting February 24.

Pearl Abyss has announced that it is pulling back publishing of Black Desert Online and will be handling both developer and publisher duties beginning in February 2021. BDO had previously been serviced by Kakao Games who will no longer be handling the title on PC. Pearl Abyss has thanked Kakao for a successful publishing partnership.

Players will want to set their calendars as the changeover does mean transferring data. The website will open on January 27 where players will presumably need to manually sign up to move their data over to the new in-house host. MMO Fallout will keep an eye out and update as we receive more information.

December 22 will mark the launch of the new champion Nova, the twenty first class for Black Desert Online and the thirteenth for mobile. Players can create their character starting December 15-16 in preparation for the launch on the 22. The mobile launch comes alongside the release of the Great Desert expansion.
