Long live Warzone 2.0.
In a move that many probably saw coming after renaming Warzone 2.0 to just Warzone, Activision this week has officially told the original CoD Warzone title to get off Vent or they’ll have it bent. The servers are set to be terminated like they were an Activision manager with the sunset announced for September 21, 2023.
Purchased content from Modern Warfare, Cold War, and Vanguard will continue to be available in those games. For items not accessible in those games, well you’re SOL. COD points will remain transferrable between games on the same platform.
Warzone 2.0 was renamed simply Call of Duty Warzone at the start of the latest season. It currently holds a 33% Mostly Negative rating on Steam.
