ELOA Is Coming Back Under GamenGame

unnamed-7

Game & Game is an online game portal dedicated to supporting Korean game enterprises, but all you need to know is that they have acquired the rights to publish ELOA, which was shut down by Webzen just recently. Developer nPic Soft decided to make the switch to Game & Game in order to provide players a more stable and reliable service, as CEO Dennis Choi stated:

“Newly started ELOA will not only open the content from the beginning to Level 50 of EPIC 2 course but also offer different and great experience with newly improved and upgraded system. Especially, update of “Town Domination War” will enable the users of guild collect taxes from each town after they win PvP battle between guilds. This update is adopted to solve the lack of End content which has been pointed out as vulnerable part. It will be started initially on the global version from December, right after ELOA’s official launch on “GamenGame.com”.

To celebrate the relaunch, Game & Game is rewarding players based on how many likes the game’s Facebook page receives.

Webzen Will Be Shuttering ELOA, ASTA This Year

image004

Webzen has announced that two of its titles will be shutting down by the end of this year. First on the plate is ASTA Online, which will be taken offline October 4th. Beginning this week, the cash shop has officially closed and players will be able to utilize 100% boosts to experience, fame, and drops if they wish to continue playing until the service shuts down. All purchases from the past month will be reimbursed.

Many of you followed us all the way from IBT, to OBT, to multiple expansions, and your support made us believe we could succeed. Sadly, we were wrong. The players we have are awesome, and any company would be happy to have such a dedicated community, but sadly the recent player numbers are not sufficient for us to be able to continue the service. So, after discussions with Polygon Games, we have agreed that the game servers will close on the 4th of October.

Second on the chopping block is Elite Lord of Alliance, which will sunset further along. Similar to ASTA, the cash shop will close and all purchases from the last 30 days will be compensated.

Since official launch, we have been working hard to build a strong community and various events. Unfortunately, we have come to a difficult decision to end this long journey we have enjoyed and cherished together. We understand that this will disappoint many of our players.

More details can be found at each game’s respective website.

ASTA Announces Myth 1: Wrath of the Berserkers

image004

WEBZEN, a global developer and publisher of free-to-play MMO games, today announced that its Asian fantasy MMORPG ASTA – The War of Tears and Winds will receive next week a content update for its first expansion “Myth I:Wrath of the Berserkers”.

Starting Tuesday, the 19th of July, players seeking an even tougher challenge will be able to take on the two raids of the Mountain of Trials in Hard mode. This means that enemies will be stronger and it will be impossible to resurrect, except with the help of a healer of course.

Players from both factions will also face a new enemy, Usata. This giant world boss wanders in the western part of the Wado region. Not only is Usata a fearsome enemy, he is also extremely powerful. Dealing with this giant, and at the same time the opposing players, will definitely make his loot very valuable: Artifact and Unique grade armor pieces!

Players that focus mainly on PvP will also be able to quench their thirst for blood. ASTA is opening a new Battleground map: Dreamworld. In this new area, 2 teams will face off in an epic battle. The objective is to break through the opponent’s defense and capture the Sword of Prophecy. Players will take turns being the attacker and the defender, either blocking the progression of their enemies or formulating their own strategies to rush to the Sword!

More information on the content update can be found on ASTA‘s official website at http://asta.webzen.com

Rappelz Shutting Down Its Hardcore Server

Rappelz 9.4_screenshot_3

The latest expansion for Rappelz has been confirmed for release later in 2016, but for now Webzen has important information for those still playing on the hardcore server. Due to a lack of popularity among the game’s userbase, Webzen has officially announced that the server will close down in just a few months.

Server migration will begin in July and last a month, before the server officially closes.

WEBZEN also officially announces the migration of the Hardcore server, enabling players to transfer their characters to a server of their choice for free. Starting from July, players will have one month to apply for the migration, with the Hardcore server being discontinued after the process. For more information on this topic, please visit the WEBZEN forums.

Rappelz players are welcome to check out MMO Fallout’s Webzen giveaway. Grab some free stuff.
