If you play Black Desert on either console, you now have a new toy to play with.
Pearl Abyss announced this week the release of two new classes for console Black Desert players bringing both titles a little more in line with the PC version. The first class is the Kunoichi, mistress of the blades, available now on the Xbox One. The Kunoichi class uses the kunai shortsword to deliver a flurry attack. The second class which will be available on Playstation 4 tomorrow is the Valkyrie. The Valkyrie uses a sword and shield for offensive and defensive abilities.
Xbox players can take part in a Kunoichi level up event running from today (Jan. 8) to January 21 and receive rewards for creating and leveling up a Kunoichi character. More information on Black Desert can be found at the official website.

Bet you didn’t see this coming.
Xbox Game Pass has been shaking up the news lately with the wide array of big name titles being added to the subscription service and today is no different. Microsoft announced via Twitter that Grand Theft Auto V is not only the latest title to be added, but that it is available now. Right now.
Well okay, not right now right now but sometime today. By the time half of you read this, GTA V will be ready for download on your system. Granted if you look at Rockstar’s sales numbers 90% of the world already owns Grand Theft Auto V, but the other 10% (or the portion that subscribes to Game Pass) will be happy to know they won’t have to shell out any extra to go online and host a big casino heist.

The Black Desert news isn’t over.
Over in Xbox territory, Black Desert is expanding with the release of a new character class. The Valkyrie is a melee character that boasts offensive and defensive skills and wields a sword and shield to bring their enemies down. In addition, Black Desert on Xbox now features equippable alchemy stones that can be purchased at market or created with the alchemy skill. Alchemy stones provide buffs to players at regular intervals.

Do you want to be a ninja? Of course you do.
Pearl Abyss today announced the release of the latest class for Black Desert on the Xbox One and unlike with the Shai class, you won’t need to go through the hullabaloo of pre-making your character for when it launches in a few weeks. It’s available now. The ninja is a close-quarters combat specialist and enters the game along with the two new guild bosses and the Marni Stones, an item to assist in end-game leveling.
“For Adventurers interested in a challenging fight, two new guild bosses have been added – the electrifying Ancient Puturum in Valencia and the ghastly Muskan of Madness in Serendia. The Ancient Puturum attacks by shooting out electric currents from its body and can regain HP by soaring into the sky to gather energy. For those seeking a more grounded fight, the Muskan of Madness will require substantial teamwork and clever strategies to be defeated. Players who successfully conquer either guild boss can receive powerful new items and equipment.”
Marni Stones can be purchased at level 57 and are available for each monster type and achieving specific bounties. Players can turn in these stones to gain more experience.
Playstation 4 users will be happy to know that the game is available for pre-order ahead of the planned August 22 launch. More information can be found on the official website with the trailer below for your viewing pleasure.
Too Human broke real ground after its launch in 2008, and not because of anything in the game play itself. Along with several other Silicon Knights products, it stands as one of the only titles in the industry to have a judge order all stock be recalled and destroyed. Way back in the year of 2007, developer Silicon Knights headed by President Denis Dyack filed a lawsuit against Epic Games over contract disputes, mostly alleging inadequate support and missing deadlines with the Unreal Engine. Sometime during the trial information came forward that Silicon Knights had filed the lawsuit while simultaneously stealing the Unreal Engine source code to build their own platform. Thousands and thousands of lines with typos and developer commentary were stolen, with Epic’s copyrights ripped out, and claimed as Silicon Knights creation.
Thanks to the company’s criminal behavior Silicon Knights lost their lawsuit, lost a countersuit by Epic, and was forced to pay millions in damages and recall all copies of the games developed using the Unreal Engine code and the company went bankrupt and shut down shortly after. Founder Denis Dyack has gone on to form new developers in the time since, however has had no luck in crowdfunding at least partially due to the controversy surrounding his name.
Coming as quite a surprise and after six years of the game being unavailable for purchase on digital stores, Microsoft re-released Too Human and has made the game backwards compatible and available for free on the Xbox Store. You’ll want to activate the game to your account sooner rather than later, as the game won’t be around long. For a week, you can pick up the game plus the pre-order armor pack, as well as two themes if you are still going to play this on your 360.

April showers bring May video games, and May is looking to haul in quite the bag of goodies.
Microsoft has announced the games coming to Xbox Game Pass in May, and Black Desert is among the list. Black Desert joins Wolfenstein II, Wargroove, Lego Batman 3, The Surge, Tacoma, For the King, and Surviving Mars. The title will be available on May 9 and presumably offers what is available in the standard edition. Game pass users will be able to upgrade for a 20% discount on the standard, deluxe, or ultimate edition bundles as well as 10% on all consumables.

Black Desert has launched its latest update on Xbox less than one month after official launch. The update introduces four new classes, each bringing new ways to experience the game, as well as large-scale PvP modes called Node Wars and Conquest Wars.
The four classes are the Dark Knight, Lahn, Musa, and Striker.
Node Wars is a PvP mode supporting 25-100 players. The mode pits guilds against one another in a territorial control fight where players battle for control over various node locations throughout the world. Rewards include gold from part of the worldwide tax collected over the course of the week.
Once per week, players can also participate in Conquest Wars which offers even bigger rewards. In addition, Black Desert is now available in New Zealand and Australia and is available in Spanish.
