Heroes & Generals is bringing in team rewards and phasing out its browser version. In an update dubbed Hallowes – XP for Friends, players will now find that acting as a team has its own rewards. The game now rewards experience for kill assists, protecting the team’s tank, and when other players use your vehicle’s weapons. The list of patch notes is massive, with tweaks to maps, guns, and more.

“As part of the update all maps have been improved to ensure a better gameflow and allow for more intense battles. Tweaks have been made to the animation system resulting in a smoother visual experience. And we have added more bicycles to the game.” -Jacob Anderson, Game Director Reto Moto

In addition to these tweaks, the browser version of Heroes & Generals is being retired in favor of the stand-alone client and Steam. The Reto-Moto team revealed that this decision is due to decreasing support from browsers for plugins.

Following its launch on PC, Neverwinter players on Xbox and Playstation are finally able to get their hands on the latest module: Storm King’s Thunder. Deployed today to live servers, the latest Neverwinter module tasks adventurers with fighting off invading giants in Icewind Dale. The update introduces a new campaign, three new adventure zones, a tier-3 dungeon, class balances, new bosses and enemies, and more.

Adventurers will travel to Bryn Shander, the largest settlement within the Ten Towns, to save the townsfolk from attack, learning a powerful artifact, the Ring of Winter, was stolen along the way. To defeat the frost giant threat, players will need to enlist the help of classic Dungeons & Dragons characters such as Catti-brie, Wulfgar and Harshnag.

Gamers on Playstation will also be able to take part in guild alliances, allowing smaller guilds to strengthen their strongholds, level them faster, and gain better rewards.

Marvel Heroes Unveils Biggest System Update Ever

MarvelHeroes2015 2015-06-26 21-43-49-03

Marvel Heroes is gearing up to completely overhaul their titular ARPG, and everyone is invited to the party. As announced this week, over the span of several updates Gazillion Entertainment will be making major changes to how you level up and how you play in Marvel Heroes going forward. Long time players are well acquainted with the regular New 52 updates, bringing heroes up to date and tweaking them for the modern mechanics, but can you handle every character changing at once?

That’s right. Every single Hero in the game will be receiving a design update. All. At. Once.Naturally, we are spending more time on this project than most of our previous updates. In this post, we will be discussing three systems involved in this endeavor: Power Points, Talents, and Traits.

The most immediate change is going to be in powers. No longer will players have to level up to unlock powers and then stick points into those to make them viable. All powers will be viable as soon as they are unlocked, with power points being placed into your base stats. Items that affected powers previously will be updated to be just as useful as they were before. Secondly, all heroes will have five sets of talents. Talents exist in their own tree and can offer passive bonuses, mechanical changes, and even replace powers entirely.

Third, all heroes will now have one defensive and one offensive passive trait, themed after the character and unique to each person.

Marvel Heroes is no stranger to massive annual updates, these types of updates are what transformed a mostly mediocre launch into the game that it is today.

  • The Frost Keep: Riders level 34 and above will find an icy challenge awaiting them in the new Frost Keep dungeon, the stronghold of the Frost Guard and their enigmatic leader. In this barren and lifeless keep, players will have the chance to add ghostly new mounts to their collection.
  • Cavern of the Veil: More mysteries will be unearthed by Riders level 28 and above in the Cavern of the Veil, where they will face off against a variety of deadly bosses deep underground. As players explore, they should keep their eyes peeled to find and tame a rare mount!

  • Guild Alliances: Forge strategic alliances with other guilds in preparation for future large scale PVP war events! Players’ efforts will see their alliances grow stronger and their fame spread throughout the land.

This high-level content is the first of several planned updates that will provide new challenges for players to experience, offering added depth to the game and its ever-expanding world of mounts to capture, tame and collect.

“We are excited and grateful to see such a positive response from players in Open Beta,” said Hoon Seok, producer, WeMade. “We have so much more content to come, and can’t wait until it’s ready to share with the community.
