H1Z1 Hits PS4 Open Beta On May 22


H1Z1 is coming to Playstation 4, and you’ll get the opportunity to shoot some guns and fight to the last man standing starting next month. Daybreak Game Company announced this week that H1Z1 is being built from the ground up for the Playstation system with a simplified loot and inventory system to keep the game flowing. In addition to fluidity changes, other alterations are coming to the console version including the removal of crafting as well as changes to the gas system, among others.

“H1Z1 on PS4 is true battle royale mayhem. We have reimagined the game for PlayStation 4 and have designed it to accentuate the essentials of battle royale that make the genre so exciting to watch and play,” said H1Z1 Producer Terrence Yee. “We have added key gameplay differentiators to keep the game frantic and fun — an action shooter’s dream of fast-paced battle royale.”

Daybreak’s plan is to have the game running at 60fps on the Playstation 4 Pro. Open beta for H1Z1 starts May 22.

Overwatch League Pro Suspended After Insulting Competitor In Post-Loss Stream

(Original Story) Dallas Fuel has suspended one of its players, Felix “xQc” Lengyel after the player hurled an insult at a competitor on the Houston Outlaws after a match Thursday night. More details on the suspension will be coming.

Houston beat Dallas with a resounding 4-0 victory on Thursday, after which Lengyel went onto his stream to rant about the loss, eventually directing his anger toward Austin Wilmot of Houston who used Lengyel’s catchphrase “rolled and smoked.”

“No, you didn’t smoke shit. Shut your fucking mouth. Go back there, suck a fat cock. I mean, he would like that.”

It’s obvious from the clip that Lengyel immediately realizes that he let his frustration cross a line, and he quickly apologized on Twitter.

Wilmot, who is openly gay, accepted the apology while apologizing for his own stream where he referred to Lengyel as a “homophobic piece of garbage” in response.

While Wilmot may not have taken the flippant, heat-of-the-moment comment personally, Dallas Fuel hasn’t been so forgiving. Lengyel did not play in tonight’s match.

Daybreak Announces Pro League for King of the Kill


How would you like to earn money while playing a game where shooting streamers is legal?

Daybreak Game Company today announced that its Battle Royale shooter H1Z1: King of the Kill will be getting the pro gaming treatment. Already host to professional tournaments, Daybreak has partnered with Twin Galaxies to create a “sustainable, first of its kind, professional esports league for the “one versus all” battle royale genre.”

The partnership has already produced a gamer’s bill of rights, guaranteeing the right to a “fair and livable wage,” as well as a governance committee and “best-in-class principles.” The league conference will be held on October 20, with the application window on the 23, team announcements in Q1 2018, and league play beginning in Q2 2018.

The league will consist of 15 teams of 5 players. There will be no fees or buy in costs for teams to participate.
