Gamigo Disables Ayanad Library On ArcheAge Unchained
Gamigo today announced that the Ayanad Library has been disabled on ArcheAge Unchained pending removal.
Howdy everyone,
The Ayanad Library has been disabled. It was planned to be retired in an upcoming update, but because of the performance issues it is causing, we have disabled it on ArcheAge: Unchained. Players that were in progress on Ayanad Library related quests, like the Ayanad Earring, will have those quests refreshed in an upcoming update. Affected players will be able to continue making progress after the update is released, which is anticipated for some time this December.

The Ayanad Library is an instance in ArcheAge that many players use to level up their characters. It also appears to be the source for major server lag due to the number of players opening instances.

ArcheAge Dealing With DDOS Attacks As Servers Strain
If you’re having trouble logging into ArcheAge today, you aren’t alone. Gamigo has stated via the official ArcheAge Twitter account that servers are dealing with several distributed denial of service attacks that the company is working on mitigating.
Players may have trouble logging in during this period.
We had several incidents resulting in disconnects today starting this morning.
We’ve been dealing with several DDOS attacks today and are working on mitigating those.

ArcheAge Disables ArchePass After It Collapses Economy
New version, same old tricks. Gamigo has announced that the ArchePass, ArcheAge Unchained’s version of the battle pass, has been disabled following massive backlash from the community regarding the pass’s impact on the in-game economy. Player frustration grew to a boiling point over claims that the pass introduced an overwhelming amount of gold to the economy with nothing in place to remove the gold.
The announcement was made on Gamigo’s Discord server.
“The ArchePass has been temporarily disabled on all North American and European ArcheAge: Unchained servers. All existing progress has been saved and the Diligence Coin store is still accessible. We are evaluating the range of issues that have been presented from gold reward values, to quests distributed repeatedly, the level of effort required to progress, and overall enjoyability of participating in the related progression.”
There has been no comment on when the pass may come back, however all player progress has been saved.
